Dear Member of the Greenwich Jewish Community:
Our Community is on Fire! Participation in UJA/JCC events and programs has increased significantly. The number of donors to the annual campaign continues to increase at an impressive rate, and the JCC saw over 1500 participants at events over the past year. Our JCC youth programming has doubled in size in the first year. Most recently, an enthusiastic crowd of over 200 people attended our Israel Day Celebration at Town Hall, and over 150 women participated in the Women’s Philanthropy Annual Spring Luncheon just a couple weeks ago.
Now more good news…In order to demonstrate their commitment to our expanding community and global Jewish needs, the UJA Board of Directors has created a challenge grant that will match dollar-for-dollar new or increased gifts made to the 2012 UJA campaign before August 31, 2012.* However, the match is contingent on your donation so now more than ever we need your support!
This challenge is a unique opportunity for you to double your impact on critical programs that address the needs of the Jewish community. Your gift will help to alleviate hunger and poverty in Israel and around the world and will enable UJA Federation of Greenwich to continue to provide important resources for our own community’s growing number of families and elderly. A stronger community, infused with Jewish culture, values and ideas, will enrich all of our day-to-day lives and will help to give our children the necessary foundation to become tomorrow’s leaders.
I’m urging you to make a new or increased gift to the UJA Federation of Greenwich before August 31st. Your contribution will be worth twice as much, and will go twice as far toward aiding the most vulnerable in Israel and around the world and building community right here at home.
